Terraria Secret & Special World Seeds

Terraria has a handful of named seeds that completely change how a world generates — turning it into a brutal challenge, an inverted map, a Don't Starve crossover, or all of them at once. Type one of these into the seed box when you create a world and you get a hand-crafted twist instead of a random map.

How to use a secret seed

When you create a new world, type the exact seed text into the Seed field on the creation screen. The famous named seeds below are now officially called special world seeds, and in the current version you can combine more than one and toggle previously used ones from a dedicated menu.

Start with a single seed at a time. Stacking several together makes world generation far less predictable — fun to experiment with, but not where you want to begin.

The famous special seeds

These are the headline named seeds and what each one does:

  • For the Worthy (type 'for the worthy') — a no-mercy world with tougher, larger enemies and bosses and harsher generation. The classic hard-mode-of-the-whole-game challenge.
  • Not the Bees (type 'not the bees') — almost the entire world is Jungle and Hive, dripping with honey and swarming with bees.
  • Drunk World (type '5162020') — chaos generation: both Corruption and Crimson appear, both variants of every two-form ore spawn, and the Party Girl replaces the Guide as your starting neighbor.
  • Celebrationmk10 (type 'celebrationmk10') — a colorful anniversary world of whimsy, loaded with extra gifts and rewards.
  • The Constant (type 'the constant') — a Don't Starve crossover with darkness and hunger to manage, plus its own dangers and references.
  • Remix / Don't Dig Up (type 'dont dig up') — an inverted world where the surface and underworld are flipped, so down is up.
  • No Traps (type 'no traps') — a world with the usual booby-trap hazards removed.
  • Zenith / getfixedboi (type 'get fixed boi') — the everything seed: it layers the effects of the other special seeds together into the single hardest, most unpredictable world in the game.

Which to try first

  • Want a fresh challenge on familiar rules? For the Worthy is the natural first pick.
  • Want novelty over difficulty? Not the Bees and Celebrationmk10 are the most lighthearted.
  • Want both world evils and every ore in one map? Drunk World is the convenience seed many players use for collection runs.
  • Want the ultimate test? Save the Zenith seed for last — it's meant to be punishing.

Separately from these named seeds, the current version also adds a large set of smaller secret seeds — quick world modifiers like flooding the world or removing the surface — that you can mix in for extra variety.

FAQ

What are Terraria's secret world seeds?

They're named seeds you type into the world-creation Seed field that generate a special, hand-crafted world instead of a random one. The famous ones — now called special world seeds — include For the Worthy, Not the Bees, Drunk World, Celebrationmk10, The Constant, Remix (Don't Dig Up), No Traps and the all-in-one Zenith seed.

What is the For the Worthy seed?

A 'world of no mercy' seed (type 'for the worthy') that ramps up difficulty across the board — tougher and larger enemies and bosses, and harsher world generation. It's the go-to challenge seed.

What does the Zenith (getfixedboi) seed do?

Type 'get fixed boi' to generate the everything seed, which combines the effects of the other special seeds into a single world. It's the hardest and most chaotic option in the game and is meant for experienced players.

How do you enter a secret seed in Terraria?

Create a new world and type the seed's exact text into the Seed field on the creation screen. In the current version you can also stack multiple seeds and reuse previously entered ones from a dedicated seed menu.
