How to Get the Zenith (Full Crafting Guide)
What you need to craft it
The Zenith is crafted at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil from ten swords. You'll have collected most of them naturally by the time you reach the Moon Lord — the last two blades are the only truly endgame pieces.
- Copper Shortsword — your very first weapon, and specifically the Copper one: the Tin Shortsword can't be substituted, even on a Tin world.
- Starfury — from the Skyware Chests on Floating Islands.
- Enchanted Sword — found in an Enchanted Sword Shrine deep underground.
- Bee Keeper — dropped by Queen Bee in the Jungle.
- Seedler — dropped by Plantera in Hardmode.
- The Horseman's Blade — dropped by the Pumpking during the Pumpkin Moon.
- Influx Waver — dropped by the Martian Saucer in the Martian Madness event.
- Terra Blade — crafted (see below); the centerpiece of the recipe.
- Meowmere and Star Wrath — both dropped by the Moon Lord, the final boss.
The Terra Blade chain
The Terra Blade is the most involved ingredient — it's a small crafting tree of its own. Work up through it before the rest:
- 1Make the Night's Edge by combining the four pre-Hardmode swords (Muramasa, Blade of Grass, the Volcano — formerly the Fiery Greatsword — and Light's Bane or Blood Butcherer) at a Demon or Crimson Altar.
- 2In Hardmode, forge True Excalibur from Excalibur and Chlorophyte Bars, and True Night's Edge from the Night's Edge plus the three mechanical-boss souls (Might, Sight and Fright).
- 3Combine the two true blades with a Broken Hero Sword to get the Terra Blade. Broken Hero Swords drop from Mothron, the mini-boss that appears during a Solar Eclipse once you've beaten Plantera.
A sensible collection order
You don't have to chase these in a strict order, but this rough sequence lines up with normal progression so you're rarely going out of your way:
- Early on, hang on to your starting shortsword and grab the Starfury and Enchanted Sword while exploring.
- Beat Queen Bee for the Bee Keeper, then build toward the Terra Blade as you clear Hardmode.
- After Plantera, collect the Seedler, then farm the Pumpkin Moon and Martian Madness for the Horseman's Blade and Influx Waver.
- Finally, defeat the Moon Lord for the Meowmere and Star Wrath, and craft the Zenith.
Crafting consumes all ten swords, so if you want to keep showpieces like the Meowmere or Terra Blade, make or obtain a spare before combining.
